During his quest for Saraswati, Valmiki was approached by Lakshmi, the goddess of fortune, who tried to distract him from his path. She offered him wealth, power, and everything a man of his past desires might crave. However, Valmiki, now firmly on his path of penance and devotion to knowledge, rejected Lakshmi’s tempting offer. His heart was now set on a higher purpose: to seek the wisdom and grace of Saraswati, who would guide him on his new journey.
