Jalsa Chandra Performing Troupe showcased a mesmerizing dance-drama titled “Twamaham Vande” (I bow to You). The performance took place at the prestigious Rabindra Sadan in Kolkata.

The central theme of the performance was the profound realization of uniting with the ultimate divine force, the Param Brahma. To achieve this spiritual bond and integration, the director cum choreographer, Smt. Jalsa Chandra, skillfully incorporated the Bhakti Marg (the path of devotion).

Smt. Jalsa Chandra thoughtfully divided “Twamaham Vande” into several segments. Lord Krishna and the revered Srimad Bhagavad Gita being pivotal elements throughout the performance. It commenced with powerful verses. It portrays the essence of Brahma, where no light, cosmic energy, day-night rotation, or life existed. As the dance-drama progressed, the focus gracefully shifted towards the journey of devotion. It profound quest to find oneself in the divine.

Sant Kabir, Tulsidas, Mirabai, and Sant Tukaram were brilliantly woven into this Bhakti millet. Dance-drama is embodying the spirit of devotion and surrender to the divine. Smt. Chandra eloquently conveyed the ultimate goal of life, which is to merge with the Param Brahma, leading to Moksha – liberation from ignorance and self-realization, self-actualization, and self-knowledge.

The concept of “Twamaham Vande” was impeccable. The choreography was flawless. The teamwork was outstanding. The performance left the audience in awe. The sheer brilliance of the performance amazed everyone. Carefully designed light projections complemented the artistry on stage. Flawless sound arrangements enhanced the overall impact. The dance-drama received positively influence. The audience experienced a heightened sensory experience.

Under the visionary leadership of Smt. Jalsa Chandra, the dance-drama featured a stellar cast of talented danseurs, including Arunima Mukherjee, Moumita Chakraborty, Jayotree Sett, Pallabi Chatterjee, Shreya Dasgupta, Adrija Mondal, and Sourav Roy. The music arrangement by Shri Shankar Narayanswami and his team added depth and resonance to the entire production.

The profound spiritual journey presented on stage captivated the audience. They highly appreciated the efforts of the entire team. “Twamaham Vande” became an unforgettable experience for all who witnessed it.
