Maya is hesitant at first because she knows that using her powers might harm Ananda. But when she sees how desperate her daughter is, she agrees. Prakriti shows her mother where Ananda is in the village. Maya then starts to do her magic, calling upon the spirit world’s forces, which represent worldly desires, to trap Ananda and bring him back to Prakriti.
